Construction Electrician

It was probably a Construction Electrician who first said “Home Sweet Home”, because every new home being built needs an electrician. And that, my friend, is job security. With a career in Construction Electrical, you create any future you want for yourself. Start your own business. Work in any province. Set your own hours. You’re in control.

This pre-apprentice program starts you down the path to a successful career by learning the all-important fundamentals. You’ll be taught to assemble, install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures and control devices. To be successful, you need good mathematical and communication skills, the ability to work at heights, and a willingness to keep up with new developments in the field.

Start: Spring/Summer 2010
Length: 1120 hours over 28 weeks (approximately six months)
Work Term: Yes
Qualification: Level I Apprenticeship
