Industrial Electrician
If you’ve always wanted to be an electrician, now is a great time to get started. The need for qualified industrial electricians is on the rise. You can earn a great salary, work anywhere you want, and maybe even go into business for yourself! A career as an Industrial Electrician appeals to people who like problem solving and working with little supervision.
This pre-apprentice program gives you the fundamentals that form the foundation of everything that follows. You’ll learn how to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and electronic controls. To be successful, you need good mathematical and communication skills, the ability to follow detailed diagrams, and patience.
Start: Spring/Summer 2010
Length: 1120 hours over 28 weeks (approximately six months)
