Steamfitter/Pipefitter

Jobs come and go, but a career as a steamfitter/pipefitter will last a lifetime. The need for skilled steamfitter/pipefitters is growing every day. Someone interested in this trade likes earning a great salary while working with minimal supervision.

This pre-apprentice program starts you off on your new career on the right foot. This course teaches you the fundamentals of layout, assembly, fabrication, maintenance and repair of piping systems. To be successful in this trade, you need good mechanical and mathematical skills, physical strength and stamina, and the ability to do careful and exacting work.

Start: Spring/Summer 2010
Length: 1120 hours over 28 weeks (approximately six months)
Work Term: Yes
Qualification: Level I Apprenticeship
