Welder
Once a welder, always a welder. It’s a trade that you can take anywhere you want over a lifetime. The demand for skilled welders continues to grow, especially here in Atlantic Canada. People who become good welders enjoy problem solving and building things with little direction or supervision.
This pre-apprentice program teaches you the fundamentals that form the foundation of a solid welding career. It gives you a head start. To be successful in the welding trade, you need good eye-hand coordination, the ability to concentrate on detailed work, patience and manual dexterity.
Start: Spring/Summer 2010
Length: 1120 hours over 28 weeks (approximately six months)
